Southwest monsoon active in Bihar

With southwest monsoon active in Bihar, the state received moderate rainfall at most places except the southcentral parts, bringing temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places in north and northeast Bihar, the MeT department said.

Bhagalpur received 0.6 mm rains today. Patna and Purnea received 31 mm and 38.1 mm rainfall respectively this morning, the weatherman said.

The MeT department has forecast light to moderate rains in the state in the next 24 hours.
