An overall steady trend was witnessed at the Vashi wholesale market here today in the absence of active buying from retailers and bulk consumers amidst higher arrivals.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,582/2,712 (Rs 2,582/2,712).

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,482/2,580 (Rs 2,482/2,580).
