Steel prices held steady in thin trade

There was not much activity at the wholesale market in the national capital today as prices continued to trade in a tight range on lack of worthwhile activity,settled around previous levels.

Traders said lack of wortwhile activity from construction units against adequate stocks position mainly kept prices at last levels.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,900, 10-mm Rs 47,400, 12-mm Rs 45,000, 16-25 mm Rs 45,700.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
