Sugar prices rebound on renewed demand

Both varieties of sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale market here today following renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 38/30 per quintal to Rs 3,740/3,822 from last Friday's closing level of Rs 3,702/3,792.

Medium sugar (M-30) also rose by Rs 34/8 per quintal to Rs 3,780/4,000 as against Rs 3,746/3,992 previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,740/3,822 (Rs 3,702/3,792).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,780/4,000 (Rs 3,746/3,992).
