Teacher held for engaging students in homosexual act

A teacher of a government school in Mettupalayam was arrested today for allegedly forcing students into homosexual acts, police said.

Venkatesh (30), a drawing teacher, staying on the first floor of the school allegedly used to force students, staying in an adjacent room into the sexual act, police said.

A student reported the matter to the staff of a nearby Tamil Nadu Electricity Board office, who managed to lock the teacher inside the room and inform the police, who after preliminary inquiry arrested Venkatesh, they said.
