Team formed for audit of govt departments in Amritsar

The Punjab government today constituted a team to conduct technical audit and physical verification of works of several departments, including municipal corporation, municipal councils and panchayats, in Amritsar district.

The special team has been constituted by Punjab Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi under the chairmanship of Technical Advisor General V K Bhatt, said an official release.

The team has been assigned the task of monitoring, auditing and physical verification of all development works carried out or being carried out by all municipal councils, Improvement Trusts, nagar panchayats situated in the limits of municipal council, Amritsar, and Amritsar district, it said.
