Directors Nikolaj Arcel and Ron Howard's "The Dark Tower", which was originally expected to hit theatres on February 17, is now scheduled for the 2017 summer release.
Sony has informed distributors that the new release date will be July 28, confirmed Entertainment Weekly.
The movie, based on the series of novels of the same name by Stephen King, stars actor Idris Elba as Roland the Gunslinger and Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey as a sorcerer known as the Man in Black, both of whom are on a quest to reach the mystical tower that stands at the nexus of countless dimensions.
