Three country-made bombs were found in a village near Chidambaram in the district and they were later defused, police today said.

No arrests have been made and investigations are on, Inspector R Rajan told reporters here.

Cuddalore SP A Radhika said the country-made bombs were defused by a bomb squad from Chennai yesterday.

Tight vigil is being maintained as the consecration of the famous Nataraja temple in the district is scheduled for tomorrow, Chidambaram Deputy Superintendent of Police Sundaravadivel said.
