Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) to three union ministers including Manohar Parrikar, and Private Secretary (PS) to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu have been appointed by the government.
Upendra Joshi, a non-government official, has been appointed PS to Defence Minister Parrikar. Pradeep Kumar Thakur, an officer of Himachal Pradesh administrative service, has been appointed OSD to Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda.
D P S Rajesh has been appointed OSD to Minister of State for Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Sanjeev Kumar, a 2003 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed private secretary to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. He has been appointed for a period of five years or on co-terminus basis with the minister's tenure, it said.
