Train engine derails

: A single locomotive engine of a

goods train derailed at Mangaluru junction station after the loco pilot 'overshot' the signal today, railway sources said.

Preliminary inquiry by Railway officials revealed that the incident occurred as the loco pilot did not watch the signal, the sources said.

The railway department would hold a detailed inquiry into the incident.
