Two Congress leaders join TDP

Two senior Congress leaders from Nellore district -- Anam Ramnarayana Reddy and his brother Anam Vivekananda Reddy -- today joined TDP here in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu, the TDP president, welcomed them into the party fold at a public meeting here.

Both leaders have been Congress legislators with Ramnarayana Reddy also having served as a minister in the previous Congress government in the state between 2004 and 2014.

Ramnarayana Reddy said, "We have no political ambition, but are supporting Chandrababu, who is taking the state forward with an ambition to transform it into the most- developed one.
