Two die in lightning strikes in Ghaziabad

Two persons died when they were struck by a thunderbolt in Govind Puram area here, police said today.

Rishabh alias Bobby and his friend Naeem were talking on mobile phone on the rooftop of a building at a friend's birthday party when they were struck by lightning yesterday, SSP K S Emmenuel said.

They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Rishabh brought dead, while Naeem succumbed to his injuries today, he said.
