Two persons have been arrested after country-made pistols and ammunitions were seized from their possession during a raid near Sabdalpur border outpost, a senior BSF official said today.
The duo were nabbed when they were trying to smuggle the arms and ammunition to Bangladesh yesterday evening, he said.
"When searched packets containing two country-made pistols along with four magazines, seven live rounds and Indian genuine currency amounting to Rs 3,600 were seized from them," the official said.

Preliminary questioning revealed that the two were residents of Malda and Murshidabad districts, and were trying to smuggle the consignment to somebody across the border in Bangladesh, he said.
The duo along with the seized arms and ammunitions have been handed over to Baishnabnagar police station.
