Two persons died while five others were seriousy injured when the truck they were travelling in overturned in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar area in the wee hours today.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Sunil (18) and Kamal Kishore (40), both labourers.
The incident took place at around 3.30 AM when the truck, which was headed towards Noida, rammed into a divider and overturned near Apollo Hospital on the Jasola-Sarita Vihar road, police said.
The truck had come from Morena in Madhya Pradesh and was heading towards Noida with household goods.
Five persons were at the back of the truck while another was seated beside the driver, police said.
The injured persons were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, police said, adding that their statements are yet to be recorded.
