Press Trust of India New Delhi
Wheat prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on emergence of buying by flour mills against restricted arrivals from producing belts.

However, other grains traded in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased demand from flour mills against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in wheat prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1,530-1,535 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,540-1,545 per 90 kg.
