Woman attempts suicide after giving poison to two children

A woman today tried to commit suicide after giving poison to her children in Tulapur village of Mirzapur district, police said.

The incident took place in Kachhwan area when 35-year-old Ragini consumed poisonous substance after she gave the same to her children Mayank (3) and Goldie (5) following a dispute with her husband, they said.

All of them were rushed to a hospital where the children died while Ragini is undergoing treatment, police said, adding investigations are underway.
