A 41-year-old woman and her 22-year-old daughter allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the Godavari river in neighbouring Jagtial district following a domestic quarrel, police said today.
Rambai had a dispute with her husband Sathaiah (45) over financial matters after his return from Singapore recently, they said.
An upset Rambai, along with her daughter Parijatha, jumped into the river from Rayapatnam bridge yesterday.
Their bodies had been retrieved and sent for postmortem, police said adding further investigations were on.
