Woman strangles drunkard husband to death in TN

Unable to bear the torture by her drunkard husband, a 34-year old woman allegedly strangled him to death in neighbouring Salem district, police said.

The woman tied the hands and legs of her husband Murugesan while he was asleep and then strangled him to death at their house in Mannayakkanpatty village, they said.

After the 'murder', the woman walked to the police station in Vazhapadi, about two kms away, and surrendered.

Murugesan, a farmer, used to come home drunk daily and physically torture his wife.
