Cyclone Phailin affects production at Jayshree Chemicals' Odisha plant

Jayshree Chemicals Ltd informed BSE on 15 October that due to severe Phailin cyclone and consequential power cut off, the company's plant at Ganjam (Odisha) is closed since October 12, 2013. The company added that the plant will start shortly after the power supply is restored. As per company website, Jayshree Chemicals is engaged in the manufacturing of caustic soda, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium hypo chlorite based on energy-efficient latest membrane cell technology at Ganjam District, East Coast of Odisha.
