Shasun Pharma and Sequent Scientific form JV for veterinary products

The Chennai based Shasun Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Shasun) has signed a joint venture agreement with Sequent Scientific Ltd. The JV company will develop, manufacture and sell veterinary products including both API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and formulations to cater to the global market. SeQuent and Shasun will hold 73% and 27% respectively in the JV.
 
Both companies expect the JV company to be operational in the first quarter of 2014-15, subject to the customary closing conditions.
