Vikas GlobalOne expands UPVC compounds and flame retardants range

The New Delhi-based Vikas GlobalOne Ltd, a manufacturer of specialty polymers compounds and adhesives, has commenced manufacturing of a new range of products – UPVC and flame retardants - for applications in rigid PVC pipes and wires & cables industries. “The company, pursuing the target of offering niche products, has started producing a new range of products - flame retardants for plastics and rubbers. The new products are namely UPVC compounds for rigid PVC pipes and flame retardant for plastic and rubber applications,” said Vikas GlobalOne in a press release.
 
The company has two manufacturing plants at Samba (Jammu and Kashmir) and Alwar (Rajasthan). Vikas GlobalOne also acts as a distributor for various global conglomerates with a niche product line in specialty chemicals and polymer compounds.
 
Vikas GlobalOne has invested Rs 1.5 crore in its greenfield UPVC compounds project, which will have annual capacity of around 2500 MT per annum. The project is expected to generate revenues of around Rs 15 crores per year. The market for UPVC pipes, tubes and fittings is increasing at annual rate of 12% for last five years. Rigid PVC pipes, tubes & fittings are mainly used in agricultural and infrastructure projects.
 
"The company has already entered into an MoU with Apollo Pipes and Rukmini Polytubes for supplying UPVC compounds," said the company release.
 
For flame retartdants project, which will have annual capacity of 3000 metric tonnes, Vikas GlobalOne has invested Rs 2 crores. The company expects the project to generate revenues of Rs 20 crores per year. It has entered into an MoU with Nalco for sourcing of the raw material for this venture.
 
Vikas GlobalOne is targeting wire and cable producers such as Havells India, KEI Industries, RR Kable, Polycab Wires, etc for its flame retardants. In addition, it is also eyeing exports market for these new products.
