Rajasthan Royals were restricted to a modest total of 151/9 in their 20 overs by Kolkata Knight Riders, as the spinners dominated the RR batting line-up in IPL 2025 at Barasapara Stadium in Guwahati.
Asked to bat first, RR openers Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal couldn’t get their side off to a strong start on a challenging wicket. While Jaiswal hit a few impressive shots, his partner, Samson, was dismissed for a disappointing thirteen.
Moeen Ali, who replaced the unwell Sunil Narine, played a key role, taking 2 wickets as the spinners shone for the defending champions. Varun Chakaravarthy, alongside pacers Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora, also claimed 2 wickets each, successfully limiting RR's big-hitters. Spencer Johnson took a wicket in the final over of the innings as RR posted a target of 152 runs for KKR.
