AFINDEX -19: Africa-India field training exercise concludes in Pune

Pune (Maharashtra), Mar 28 (ANI): The field training exercise between Indian Army and armed forces of 18 African nations concluded on Wednesday. The closing ceremony of AFINDEX-19 saw the presence of Army Chief General Bipin Rawat who commemorated the participating personnel of African nations. The activities under the AFINDEX-19 included demonstrations and training on establishing and functioning of Mine Action Center, identification and survey of contaminated areas, mechanical and manual demining, disposal of improvised explosives devices and air causality disposal.
