Coimbatore temple gets unique decoration with 2,000 kilos of fruits

Coimbatore (TN), Jul 28 (ANI): Devotees decorated a temple of goddess 'Amman' in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore city with 2000 kilograms of fruits. From mangoes, pineapples, pears, bananas, and More than 26 varieties of fruits were seen hanging, sticking to the walls and adorning the idols in the temple as garlands as devotees queued up at the Mahali Amman Temple during the Tamilian month of Aadi. The month is believed to be auspicious for Hindus.The fruits will be distributed among devotees and poor people of the city after prayers and special worship the next day. Apart from the Mahali Amman Temple, several other places of worship in the region also celebrated the Aadi festival.
