Mulayam Singh inaugurates thermal power project in Lalitpur

Lalitpur, Sep 20 (ANI): Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday inaugurated a thermal power project in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Lalitpur Power Generation Co Ltd (LPGCL), a part of Shishir Bajaj led-Bajaj Group commissioned the first 660 MW unit of 1980 MW supercritical thermal power plant. Yadav inaugurated the unit at Mirchwara in the presence of UP PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav and Minister of State Arvind Singh Gope. State CM Akhilesh Yadav was scheduled to inaugurate the unit, but he could not make it to the venue. The total power produced from this project would be supplied to the UP state discoms as per regulated tariff. The SP chief said that the state government is doing everything for the development of UP, like no other government have done till date and that the state will continue on the path of development.
