Never recommended Hydroxychloroquine to general public: ICMR

New Delhi, Apr 11 (ANI): Indian Council of Medical Research Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases-I (ECD-I) Head Raman R Gangakhedkar reacted on efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) on frontline health workers dealing with COVID-19 patients. He said, "If duration of exposure is not enough then findings can be wrong....Use of HCQ is as prophylaxis not as treatment. We've never recommended it to general public."
