Part of Kollidam bridge collapses, gets washed away in Cauvery river basin

Tiruchirappalli (TN), Aug 19 (ANI): Parts of Kollidam bridge collapsed in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli and was washed away in the flooded Cauvery river basin on Saturday. It connects Srirangam with the mainland, had developed a major crack due to the heavy flow of water. No casualties have been reported. Kollidam bridge was built in the British era.
