Reactions come in as govt moves ahead on appointment of new Army chief post EC nod

New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): Reactions come in from different political parties as central government moves forward with appointment of Lt Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag as the next Army Chief after the nod by the Election Commission. Congress leader Meem Afzal said that till the time any government is in power, it keeps on doing the procedural things that are required. NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that Army Chief is an important position and that there was no hurry in the same. CPI leader D Raja said that the post in question is an important one and cannot be left blank to wait for the next government. Meanwhile, BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said that the party is not concerned about pity issues now and that Congress can do whatever they desire in their left time in power.
