14 killed including ANP leader in Peshawar suicide blast

Peshawar (Pakistan), Jul 11 (ANI): A suicide blast claimed at least 14 lives, including Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Haroon Bilour, and wounded scores of others after a suicide bomber blew himself up before a political rally. The explosion occurred in Yakatoot neighbourhood moments after Bilour arrived at the venue. The late ANP candidate was set to contest the July 25 elections from Peshawar's PK-78 constituency. In a tweet, Awami National Party condemned the attack, "We are deeply sad to announce that ANP's Provincial Information Secretary and party's candidate for PK-78, Haroon Bashir Bilour is no more with us. He was targeted in a suicide attack a while ago in Peshawar."
