Celebrations in full swing on Durga Ashtami

Nepal, Oct 09 (ANI): On the day of Ashtami (the 8th day of Navratri), people in Nepal celebrated the occasion by sacrificing sheep and goats at the famous Gehvayi mandir in Nepal's Birgunj. The market was flooded with different variety of food items to lure the visitors. People in large number had gathered to seek blessings at the temple. The people fed their animals before sacrificing them to the god. Household items, dresses and toys for children were some other things that attracted the people.
