Heroin seized in Attari, Punjab

Attari, Oct 15 (ANI): India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) seized 12 kilogram heroin at Attari town of Punjab bordering Pakistan. The seizures were made during a joint operation between the BSF and Punjab Police at an agricultural zone near Pakistan border. The consignment of drug was pushed to India from Pakistan through barbed fencing during the wee hours. The patrolling troops noticed some movement and challenged the smugglers at the border but they succeeded in escaping. So far no arrests have been made. Investigation was underway.
