Japan disappointed by Xi Jinping's speech at WW II parade

Tokyo, Sep 03 (ANI): Japanese top government spokesman Yoshihide Suga said at a regular conference on Thursday that he was disappointed in Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech at its military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of World War Two victory over Japan, an event shunned by most Western leaders. Japanese media reported that Xi in a speech on Thursday criticised what they say is Japan's revisionist views of history.

Suga also expressed disappointment that United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon participated in the event. He also commented that he expects China to continue being transparent regarding its military capabilities, after Xi announced he would cut troops by 300,000, at the parade.
