India doubled their lead in the 11th minute when Manmeet Singh struck again with a brilliant field goal. Arshdeep Singh then extended India’s lead in the 27th minute, completing a flawless first-half performance and sending the team into halftime with a 4-0 advantage.
The second half saw India continue to dominate proceedings. Their attacks were relentless, although Switzerland’s defense improved slightly, earning a few penalty corners of their own. The Swiss goalkeeper managed to keep India from scoring immediately during one such opportunity, but the clean sheet for India remained intact.
In the final stages of the match, Sharda Tiwari bagged her second goal of the night with another precise drag flick from a penalty corner, making it 5-0. India maintained their composure throughout, combining defensive discipline with attacking flair to control the tempo of the game.
The final quarter began with India intent on running away with all points, and the team executed their strategy perfectly. A brilliant save by the Indian goalkeeper in the third quarter ensured the clean sheet remained intact. With just a minute left, the scoreline reflected India’s dominance and clinical finishing across all four quarters.
