Suspended civil servant Ashish Joshi has written to Union Minister of Communication Manoj Sinha, seeking justice.In the letter, Joshi has said: "My salary (subsistence allowance) has been reduced to 50 pc. My wife and daughter are in Delhi because of my daughter's education. I have been away from my family for three years. A 17-year-old girl died on Tuesday in Paderu agency area in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district, when a cabin fell off a Ferris wheel.Paderu area was celebrating a tribal festival to honour the presiding tribal goddess Modakondamma, when at 12:30 am one of the cabins of Ferris wheel came crashing down on the ground as a result of malfunctioning of screws.This mishap led to the death of Busala Bhavani and injured two other girls, who accompanied the deceased.Paderu Sub-Inspector Ramarao told ANI, "The deceased has been identified as Busala Bhavani, daughter of Rajababu. A case has been registered under section 304(2) of IPC and an investigation is underway.

Jenna Welch, the mother of former first lady Laura Bush, has died in Texas. She was 99. Granddaughter and namesake Jenna Bush Hager said Monday on NBC's "Today" show that Welch, a longtime Midland, Texas, resident, died Friday. The "Today" co-anchor said her grandmother loved nature and "taught us every star in the sky." Laura Bush in an Instagram post called her mother "a true daughter of West Texas who loved her family, books, and nature." An obituary in the Midland Reporter-Telegram said the family held a funeral Saturday in Midland. Born on July 24, 1919, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Welch was raised near El Paso, Texas. NGO seeks action against woman who "falsely" accused CJI of sexual harassment
A group of men Monday protested at India Gate here, demanding action against the woman who "falsely" accused Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi of sexual harassment. Demanding gender neutral laws, the protesters assembled under the banner of Purush Aayog, an NGO fighting for the rights of men, carrying placards that read-- "Stop maligning judiciary, "Justice for Chief Justice" and "We want equality for genders". "We demand strongest punishment for the women who accused the CJI. The Supreme Court should exemplify this case to ensure that a man's dignity is not raped by false accusations," Barkha Trehan, President of Purush Aayog said.
