Delhi High Court directs DMRC to pay Rs 3.06 billion: Reliance Infra

Anil Ambani promoted Reliance Infrastructure on Tuesday said the Delhi High Court has given its subsidiary Delhi Airport Metro Express (DAMEPL) an immediate relief directing Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to pay Rs. 3.06 billion to a consortium of banks. The step, the company said, is to ensure that DAMEPL's accounts do not turn into a non performing asset (NPA) by the end of March this year."The High Court held that a party successful in arbitration and Section 34 cannot be allowed to become NPA for want of enforcement of the Award. The Court directed that it is just and necessary that the amount sufficient to avert the declaration of the accounts of the Petitioner as NPA should be paid by DMRC to the eleven banks before March 28, 2018," the company said in its statement.On 6th March, RInfra informed the exchanges the Delhi High Court has upheld its arbitration award of Rs 29.50 billion as compensation along with interest to Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL). .

Anil Ambani led Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) is likely to win a engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project worth Rs567 crore, according to people to with direct knowledge on the development. " The company has emerged as L1 bidder in a tender floated by NTPC for Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) works of its 3 x 500 MW power plant in Jhajjar, Haryana," according to company sources, who did not wish to be identified.The project involves design, engineering supply, transportation to site, erection and civil work, testing and commissioning of complete FGD system. Reliance Infra demerger plan to be pushed to next fiscal

Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Infrastructure (R-Infra) islikely to postpone its demerger plan to the next financial year. The companyhas moved the Bombay High Court, which is hearing its scheme of arrangement,seeking to change the effective date of the plan to April 1, 2017 from April 1,2016 earlier. Accordingly, the scheme when approved would take effectin the financial year 2017-18.
