A man was charged in a shooting that killed three men -- including a father and son -- and wounded three others in a neighbourhood dispute over parking during a party, police said Monday. Charles Robert Smith, 43, of Annapolis, was charged with three counts of second-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder, assault and other offences in the shooting that happened Sunday evening, Annapolis Police Chief Edward Jackson told reporters at a media briefing. Smith surrendered to authorities Sunday night without incident, the police chief said, and he was ordered held without bond Monday. Police recovered both a semi-automatic handgun and a long gun at the scene. Jackson identified the victims as Nicholas Mireles, 55, of Odenton, Maryland; Mario Antonio Mireles Ruiz, 27, of Annapolis; and Christian Marlon Segovia, 25, of Annapolis. Nine people were injured Monday evening when gunfire erupted along a beach boardwalk in Hollywood, Florida, sending people frantically running for cover along the crowded beach on Memorial Day. Six high school students were injured after gunfire erupted at a house party in southern Mississippi, according to a news report. The Biloxi Sun Herald reported early Sunday that the shootings happened overnight Saturday in Bay St. Louis, about 29 miles (46 kilometres) west of Biloxi. All six students suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to area hospitals. Two were in serious condition. Two of the victims are students at Bay High School in Bay St. Louis. Four of the students attend Hancock High School in Kiln, 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Bay St. Louis. None of them had attended Bay High's prom, which was held earlier Saturday night. Two men were killed and a third person was wounded during a shooting in a Seattle park Saturday night, police said. Police responded to a report of a shooting at Cal Anderson Park around 10:30 p.m., the Seattle Police Department said in a statement. Officers found three men with gunshot wounds and provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived. One man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police said. Brayden Bolyard, 17, died at the scene of the shooting at the lounge Saturday night, Austin police said in a news release.
