Himachal Pradesh/ Punjab/ Karnataka, April 29 (ANI): Ramdev, termed Nehru-Gandhi dynasty as plunderer and accused Congress' first family of treating the country as their personal property. Ramdev, while addressing a news conference on Tuesday in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, said that Gandhi family used to think that no one can point finger at them. Ramdev, who came under flak for his 'honeymoon' remark earlier on April 25 over Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, now faces scrutiny by National Commission for Schedule Caste.Vice chairman of National Commission for Schedule Caste, Dr Raj Kumar Verka said that strong action would be taken against Ramdev for his controversial remark.

Kargil martyr's family upset over Modi using 'dil maange more' phrase, BJP clarifies

New Delhi/ Sujanpur, April 30 (ANI): BJP leader Narendra Modi during a rally in Mandi referred to Kargil Martyr Vikram Batra over which his father has showed objection. GL Batra said that such statements should not be used for political purpose. Meanwhile, BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi has said that martyrs are sons of motherland and they can be recognized and praised by anybody and denied any political aim.

Mixed reactions flow, soon after Chidambaram accepts mistakes of UPA 2

New Delhi, April 29 (ANI): Soon after Finance Minister P Chidambaram accepted that UPA made and termed 2010-11 to be most critical years, reactions from various political parties flowed in. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi stated that it's too late for Congress to realize its mistakes. Rajya Sabha MP Mohd Adeeb said that it was already known still if Congress has realized mistakes then they should do something to improve it. CP (I) leader D Raja stated that UPA 2 govt could not connect with common man. Meanwhile, Congress leader Meem Afzal viewed it as Chidambaram's personal opinion.

Modi says "Ye dil maange more" at Mandi rally

Mandi, April 29 (ANI): BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked people of Himachal Pradesh to make his party win by 300 seats, repeating the famous catchphrase also used by Kargil Martyr Vikram Batra "Ye dil maange more." Vikram Batra gave his life for the country in the Kargil war using the same line, said Modi, while addressing a rally in Mandi.

Modi accuses Congress of cheating people

Palampur, April 29 (ANI): BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Himachal Pradesh's Palampur on Tuesday, severely attacked the ruling Congress Party. Calling the Congress as a cheater party Modi stated that Congress cheats people through its manifesto, never fulfilling its promises. He further attacked the Nehru-Gandhi party saying that the soldiers of the country die for their motherland not for a family government. Modi also took up the issue of development through Tourism for which the Central Government has held back projects in Himachal.

Priyanka Gandhi slams Modi for 'shehzada' jibe

Amethi, April 29 (ANI): Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday once again took on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi directly. She slammed Modi for calling Rahul Gandhi a 'shehzada' and urged him to refrain from childish acts. While addressing a gathering in Amethi, she also accused BJP candidate from Amethi Smriti Irani of not being in touch with ground reality. Invoking her father, Rajiv Gandhi's legacy, Priyanka also said, that Rahul Gandhi has the same vision which Rajiv Gandhi had.

BJP terms Robert Vadra's land dealing as huge scandal

New Delhi, April 28 (ANI): BJP spokesperson, Nirmala Sitharaman, on Monday said that her party would continue to question the issue of land dealings, which involves Congress party president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra till Sonia and Rahul Gandhi come clean on it. The Wall Street Journal in an article claimed that in 2012 Vadra sold more than 72 crore rupees of property and he still held real estate valued at 252 crore rupees. The BJP termed it as a massive scandal which resulted in injustice to many people of Haryana and Rajasthan. Sitharaman also questioned Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi's silence on the matter.

Congress protests against Ramdev over his derogatory remark

Bhopal / Bangalore, April 28 (ANI): Congress supporters and workers protested in various parts of the country on Monday against yoga guru Ramdev over his derogatory remarks on party's vice-president, Rahul Gandhi. Ramdev had said Gandhi visits Dalit households for picnics and honeymoon, which triggered a storm especially among Dalit community. In IT hub Bangalore, members of the youth Congress party and Schedule Caste department took to streets and shouted slogans against Ramdev. Following Ramdev's remarks, Election Commission banned Ramdev from conducting any meetings and programmes in Lucknow till May 16, the day results of general elections will be announced.

Derek O'Brien calls Modi 'Butcher of Gujarat', Politicos react

New Delhi/ Lucknow, April 28 (ANI): Politicos reacted over TMC leader Derek O'Brien's remark wherein he called Narendra Modi 'Butcher of Gujarat' following the later's remark over Mamata Banerjee. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy condemned the remark and said that they are lowering their levels. Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that the word used is not right but Modi is blood handed due to 2002 riots. Congress condemns 'Damad Shree' video released by BJP

New Delhi/ Lucknow, April 28 (ANI): Congress on Sunday condemned BJP's video 'Damad Shree' which attacked Robert Vadra and his land deals on a large scale. Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that Modi wave was a false propaganda and that people will see what bad ways BJP is taking to attack Congress. Rashid Alvi also condemned such an act. Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that this is the same old stale matter, just wrapped in a booklet and CD. He also said that the BJP has no facts on this.
