Gandhinagar, April 22 (ANI): Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said that machinery would keep close watch on inflammatory and hate speeches in the ongoing rallies across the country. He also added that police can take action on their own whenever they come across any violation of law during ongoing general election. Election chief also added officers would keep a vigilant eye on any attempt to bribe voters.
Bhagalpur, April 22 (ANI): BJP Chief Rajnath Singh, while addressing a rally in Bihar slammed ruling Congress party over faulty policies and corruption. Creating vote base for party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Singh promised loans on low interest rates for country's youth if the party came to power post parliamentary polls. Singh also campaigned for BJP's candidate from Bhagalpur constituency in Bihar, Shahnawaz Hussain. Modi has been wooing voters by promising to get India out of its slowest economic growth in a decade and by pointing to his track record of cutting red tape and attracting investment in Gujarat.

Trying to give a tough fight to Gandhi in Amethi, Kejriwal held a roadshow on Monday to woo the voters. AAP leader Kumar Vishwas is contesting against Gandhi and BJP's candidate Smriti Irani, from the Lok Sabha seat of Amethi constituency. Claiming strength of Vishwas in the constituency, Kejriwal said that the people would certainly support him over a representative of 'helicopter politics', Rahul Gandhi. Kejriwal also slammed Narendra Modi for misleading people by building false hype about so-called 'Modi wave' over filing his nomination from Varanasi constituency.

Yadav said that the only reason BJP are being accepted is Congress' failure. He said that BJP only talk about breaking and dividing the country.
New Delhi, April 21 (ANI): Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) workers in Delhi protested outside Congress Headquaters on Monday after Congress' Amritsar candidate Captain Amarinder Singh giving a clean chit to Jagdish Tytler, said that riot victims in Delhi had initially not named Tytler for leading the mobs that went on a rampage in the national capital. Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has described Singh's remark on 1984 riots accused as "shameful and shocking". Meanwhile, BJP leaders in Amritsar cancelled a scheduled press conference on Sunday to protest against Singh. SAD workers tried to break the police barricades outside the Congress office, following which the police used water cannons in order to stop the protestors.

New Delhi, Apr 20 (ANI): Demanding an immediate stop to attempts to appoint a Lokpal, the BJP on Sunday said it would be a "gross political impropriety" and "violation" of the model code if the UPA government rushed through the appointment of the anti-corruption watchdog. According to sources, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is planning to convene a meeting of the Lokpal Selection Committee on April 27 or 28.
Hyderabad, Apr 20 (ANI): Senior BJP leader, Venkaiah Naidu, questioned the delay in passage of bill to create a separate state of Telangana, which will be carved out of Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a news conference in Hyderabad on Sunday, Naidu said that Congress party was leveling false claims on BJP that it tried to stall the bill.
New Delhi, April 20 (ANI): BJP leader Nirmala Sitaraman on Sunday severely attacked the ruling Congress Party regarding the constant use of foul language and violating remarks by its leaders. Sitaraman attacked Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma and demanded the leadership of Congress to come out with an opinion on Prasad's statement, either they support him or apologize. Further, Sitaraman said that BJP demands the cancellation of Prasad's candidature by Election Commission. Kejriwal was campaigning for AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, who is contesting against Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi, in Amethi. Protesters carrying placards were shouting anti-Kejriwal slogans while police was trying to control the crowd.

Varanasi, April 19 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and his parents have reportedly moved out from the Sankat Mochan temple since arriving in the holy city of Varanasi on April 15. According to reports, the temple authorities expressed displeasure over the ongoing political activity in the temple premises. Kejriwal and his parents, were guests of the mahant of the temple Bishambhar Mishra. Reacting over this, Mishra said that there was no protest against Kejriwal and he did not leave due to any objection.
