Kumar Vishwas booked in Amethi, alleges conspiracy against him

Amethi, April 19 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Police lodged an FIR against AAP leader Kumar Vishwas and his supporters for flouting prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC. Earlier an FIR was lodged against a Congress worker in Amthi following a complaint by Vishwas, who is contesting against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Vishwas had filed an application with police seeking registration of an FIR against Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and some Congress workers in connection with an alleged threat by a Congress worker. Reacting over the FIR against him Vishwas said that it is a conspiracy of the Congress party against him.

One doesn't become a communicative PM by reading template speeches: Jaitley

Amritsar, April 19 (ANI): BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Saturday slammed the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) over a statement according to which PM Manmohan Singh spoke to people 1200 times in last 10 years. Jaitley stated that one does not become a communicative PM by merely reading template speeches because they did not make any impact on the people. Further slamming the PM, Jaitley said that he walked on snow but did not leave any footprints behind.

BJP hits back at Geelani's remark, says Article 370 stopping development

Patna, April 19 (ANI): BJP leader Nitin Gadkari on Saturday hit back at Geelani's remark over emissaries visiting him for resolving the Kashmir issue. He stated that the name and status of those people who came to meet him is not mentioned and justified that Narendra Modi did not meet anyone. Gadkari further said that Kashmir is not able to develop in terms of industry and tourism because of Article 370 and its abolition can help the state in many ways. He also expressed faith in the BJP to work towards the development of Kashmir.

Azam Khan lashes out at EC

Rampur, April 18 (ANI): Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan on Friday lashed out at the Election Commission saying it has committed major legal blunder in his case. He said that he won't apologies to the EC as he had done nothing wrong. Khan was banned from holding public meetings, processions or roadshows in Uttar Pradesh after his remarks that the Kargil conflict was won by Muslim soldiers and not Hindus.

Ramdev clarifies his controversial talk about black money

Mathura, April 18 (ANI): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Friday clarified his controversial conversation with BJP leader Mahant Chandnath. Ramdev said that if he or anybody associated with him is found to be guilty of possessing black money then government should take action. He also took a dig at Congress Party saying that Congress especially Sonia Gandhi owns a lot of black money in foreign countries.

Amit Shah accepts Election Commission's decision of censuring him

New Delhi, April 17 (ANI): Narendra Modi's close aide and BJP leader Amit Shah who runs party's campaign in Uttar Pradesh, accepted Election Commission's decision after it censured Shah for giving a series of speeches deemed to have stoked tensions with Muslims. The Election Commission (EC) ruled that Shah had made statements that promoted "hatred and ill will" between religions and urged police to press criminal charges.
