Moradabad (UP), Apr 28 (ANI): Four people have been arrested in Moradabad for black marketing and selling of Remdesivir injection on April 28. 2 Remdesivir injections 12 Fabiflu tablets and Rs 72,000 recovered from their possession. The demand for Remdesivir injections has been rising amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.
New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): RS Sharma, Chief of CoWin portal, where eligible people register themselves for vaccination, on April 28 said urged citizens to be patient while getting themselves booked for the drive. Reacting to several states calling for the delay in the starting of the 3rd phase vaccination in view of vaccine shortage, Sharma said not all states can be ready at once for the drive, and therefore there's no point in postponing the drive.
New Delhi, Apr 28 (ANI): In the view of rising second wave of COVID-19, 25 COVID care isolation coaches placed at Anand Vihar Terminal on April 28. Delhi Government has demanded 75 coaches from Indian Railway. 50 railway coaches placed at Shakur Basti railway station. COVID care isolation coaches are equipped with medical oxygen facilities.

Guwahati (Assam), April 28 (ANI): Amid oxygen crisis across the country, Assam has signed MoUs with three manufactures of liquid oxygen in the state. While speaking to ANI, state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on April 27 said, "We have signed MoUs with three manufactures of liquid oxygen. These three plants will give us 10.5 MT oxygen per day. With this, our total capacity has gone up to 66 MT."
Kanpur (UP), Apr 27 (ANI): A COVID hospital in Kanpur was alleged of overcharging patients, after which an enquiry was put up by the administration. FIR has been registered against the hospital management. Condemning the incident, Kanpur Nagar DM Alok Tiwari said, "It is a tough time, and instead of yielding profits we should help each other."
Indore (MP), Apr 27 (ANI): An Indian Air Force C-17 transport aircraft on April 27 carried two empty oxygen tankers from Indore to Jamnagar in Gujarat. Tankers, loaded with medical oxygen are scheduled to travel from Jamnagar to Indore by road. Tankers cannot be transported by IAF aircraft as the gas is considered flammable and may pose a threat.
Rohtak (Haryana), Apr 27 (ANI): As the country is witnessing exponential surge in COVID-19 cases, Nodal Officer for COVID-19 at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) Rohtak Dr Dhruv Chaudhary suggested to wear a double mask as it prevents the COVID infection by 85% to 88%. "The latest research shows that wearing a double mask- a surgical mask and a cloth mask together prevents COVID-19 infection by 85% to 88%. I urge people to wear a mask to prevent the spread of infection, it is not a fashion statement," said Dr Dhruv Chaudhary.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): COVID cases are on uphill in the country amid second wave of pandemic. Karnataka reported 31,830 fresh cases and 180 deaths on April 27. Total caseload of the state stood at 14,00,775. Bihar registered 12,604 COVID cases in last 24 hours. Currently, there are 94,275 active cases in the state. Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh registered 14,352 and 13,417 fresh COVID cases respectively in last 24 hours.
New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): Days after Delhi's Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre resumed its functioning, locals complained of bed shortage and poor management at the centre. One of the locals said, "People who are coming out from the centre are saying that there are no arrangements inside, there is no oxygen." Another local said, "I came here to look for bed, but there is no outcome."
Chandigarh, Apr 27 (ANI): Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij debunked all the questions rising on the shortage of beds for COVID patients in Gurugram and Faridabad districts. He claimed that about 70% of the patients in both the districts are from Delhi. Anil Vij said, "About 70% of the patients in Gurugram and Faridabad are from Delhi. Now patients from Delhi are also coming up to Rohtak, Karnal and Ambala, we are treating them. We have asked the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to make extra beds in every district."
Patna (Bihar), Apr 27 (ANI): Country is facing oxygen shortage amid the devastating second wave of COVID-19. Oxygen plants are working in their full capacity but are failing to meet the rising demand. An Oxygen plant in Patna produces 600 cylinders daily but it is not enough for the city. One of the employees at the plant said, "There is a huge demand for oxygen. We are unable to fulfil the demand and are forced to turn away people."

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), Apr 27 (ANI): A father from Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh has donated Rs two lakh, which he saved for his daughters' weddings, to local administration to meet the rising demand of oxygen for COVID-19 patients. Champa Lal Gurjar had decided to conduct lavish marriage ceremonies of his two daughters scheduled for April 30. But with fresh restrictions imposed in the state in view of the 2nd wave of COVID-19, he was forced to the keep the celebrations limited. However, after consulting with his 'Gurudev' and seeing the severe shortage of oxygen for COVID-19 patients, he donated Rs 1 lakh each to two hospitals in Neemuch.
