Guwahati (Assam), Mar 09 (ANI): Ahead of Assam assembly elections, state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 08 said by doing an alliance with communal party Congress has polarised the election in the state. He said, "By forging alliance with communal party Congress has polarised the election. Had Congress contested separately, polls would have been fought on development issues. But by aligning with AIUDF, Congress has made this poll a conflict of civilizations." Assam assembly elections will be held in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6.
Kolkata, Mar 09 (ANI): Speaking on the massive fire at the 13th floor of a multi-storey building in Kolkata on March 08, which claimed lives of at least seven people, General Manager of Eastern Railway, Manoj Joshi said, "A high-level team has been set up by railways to investigate cause of the fire. We will cooperate with the State in any probe they will conduct."
New Delhi, Mar 09 (ANI): As Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met top BJP leaders in Delhi amid speculation of revolt against him by state party MLAs, Uttarakhand BJP MLA Munna Singh Chauhan dismissed the rumours of "unhappiness over the CM", and said that Trivendra Singh Rawat continues to be the Chief Minister.
