Giriraj Singh is currently serving as the 21st Minister of Textiles since 2024. A staunch supporter of Narendra Modi from the beginning, he publicly supported Modi for Prime Minister for a long time. He was born on September 8, 1952, in Barahiya town in Lakhisarai district of Bihar. He has been a prominent figure in Bihar politics and has served in various governmental roles.

	He won 2019 general election from Begusarai constituency by defeating CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar. After that Singh was made Union Cabinet Minister of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. From the same Begusarai constituency he has won the 2024 general election.</div>
