"All contractual employees with over six years of completed service on March 31 have been regularised and an order to regularise daily wagers with over seven years of service has been issued," Principal Secretary of Personnel Manisha Nanda said here today.
Earlier, daily wagers were regularised after a service span of eight years but the government has reduced the period to seven years and issued orders to implement the decision as soon as all the formalities are completed, she added.
Commenting on the recent grade pay sop to Himachal state government employees, Nanda said the announcement by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal to grant grade pay on Punjab pattern was a historical decision which would benefit all the categories of employees.
Other decisions taken for the benefit of employees would also be implemented soon, she added.
