Five drown in boat capsize
The deceased were identified as Aminabi Allabax Nadaf(60), Shivarayappa Hanamant Patil (32), Srishail Hanamant Nirakar (19), Anand Rayappa Chigarannavar(19), and Hanamant Ramanna Tolamatti (19), police said.
The victims were returning after performing a religious ritual on the memorial of a seer which is submerged in the Krishna river backwaters.
Police said so far only one body has been recovered and efforts were on by a rescue team to fish out the other bodies.
