Six people sentenced to five years RI
Chief Judicial Magistrate Santosh Kumar Mohapatra passing the order yesterday also imposed a penalty of Rs 1000 each failing which they would have to undergo one month's additional imprisonment.
The six had attacked the house of a businessman, Kulamani Rana at Sadingia village on January 22, 2011 and decamped with gold ornaments, a bike and Rs 1,50,000.
An FIR was lodged with Phiringia police by Rana and police had arrested the six.
