Application for Indian Men's Cricket team head coach
Key accountabilities for as mentioned by BCCI:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a world class Indian cricket team which delivers
- sustained success in all conditions and formats, inspiring current and future generations of cricketers and
- stakeholders with their approach to the game.
- The Head Coach will have overall responsibility for the performance and management of the India Men’s
- team in all three formats of the game.
- The Head Coach will lead a team of specialist coaches and support staff and will be responsible for defining
- their roles, their performance and ongoing development.
- The Head Coach will be responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and enforcing the disciplinary codes within
- the Indian Men’s team.
Eligibility of candidates applying to be Cricket team head coach
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills for India's men's cricket team coach:
- Should have played minimum of 30 Test Matches or 50 ODI’s; or
- Head Coach of a full member Test Playing Nation, for a minimum period of 2 years; or
- Head Coach of an Associate member /IPL Team or Equivalent International League/First Class Teams/
- National A teams, for a minimum period of 3 years; or
- Should have BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent; and
- Should be below 60 years of age.

Will Rahul Dravid reapply for the head coach job?
According to TOI report, Dravid won't apply for the new coaching term. ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be Dravid's last assignment as head coach of men's national cricket team.
Will India have different coach for Tests and White-ball cricket?
According to the BCCI statement, the newly-appointed head coach will be accountable for all the three formats.
Earlier, the BCCI secretary said there has been no precedent of having different coaches for different formats but ultimately the decision rests with the Cricket Advisory Committee. The CAC comprises Jatin Paranjape, Ashok Malhotra and Sulakshana Naik.
