Adani Group has sold its remaining 7 per cent stake in Adani Wilmar Ltd in a block deal that attracted strong institutional demand. Domestic mutual fund houses, including Vanguard, Charles Schwab, ICICI Prudential MF, SBI Mutual Fund, Tata MF, Quant MF, and Bandhan MF, bought the stake, according to people familiar with the transaction. Several international investors from Singapore, the UAE, and other Asian markets also bought into the clean-out block. Market sources add that Wilmar's long-term institutional partners such as GIC are expected to increase their exposure to AWL as the promoter structure stabilises. Adani Group on Friday exited AWL Agri Business (formerly known as Adani Wilmar) by selling its remaining 10.42 per cent stake in the company for Rs 3,732 crore through open market transactions, according to the BSE data. Adani Commodities LLP (ACL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, offloaded a total of 13,54,82,400 equity shares in 11 tranches on Friday, amounting to a 10.42 per cent stake in AWL Agri Business, as per the block deal data on the BSE. The transaction was valued at around Rs 3,732.54 crore and executed at an average price of Rs 275.50 apiece. Meanwhile, Dubai-based Shajaeatan Investment FZCO purchased a little over 11.07 crore equity shares or 8.52 per cent in AWL Agri Business for Rs 3,049.99 crore. Abu Dhabi-based IHC Capital Holding on Wednesday sold more than 84 lakh shares of Adani Enterprises for Rs 1,832 crore through open market transactions. Diversified group IHC Capital Holding through its subsidiaries -- Green Vitality RSC and Green Energy Investment Holding RSC -- offloaded 84.48 lakh shares or 0.73 per cent stake in Adani Enterprises, as per the block deal data on the BSE. The shares were disposed of at an average price of Rs 2,168.1 apiece, taking the combined transaction value to Rs 1,831.82 crore. Meanwhile, Envestcom Holding RSC Ltd sold the same amount of shares in two tranches at the same price. Adani Wilmar sells edible oils and other food products under the Fortune brand. In a regulatory filing, the company informed that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire G D Foods Manufacturing (India) Private Limited. The acquisition will be executed in multiple tranches, with 80 per cent of the shares to be acquired in the first tranche and the remaining 20 per cent over the next three years. In FY24, GD Foods achieved a revenue of Rs 386 crore, growing at a three-year CAGR of 15 per cent, and recorded an EBITDA of Rs 32 crore.
