Toyota recalls 11,529 Urban Cruiser Hyryders over dashboard component issue

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is recalling 11,529 units of its mid-sized SUV Urban Cruiser Hyryder to inspect and replace a dashboard component. The voluntary recall campaign is to inspect and replace the Combination Meter, if found faulty, in 11,529 units manufactured between December 9, 2024, and April 29, 2025. In line with its customer first philosophy and unwavering commitment to the highest quality standards, the automaker will continue to promptly address customer concerns and aim to deliver peace of mind by resolving issues quickly and conveniently, TKM said in a post on its Website. Toyota dealer representatives will contact affected customers, it added. In October, the company recalled Camry, Vellfire and Land Cruiser to reprogramme the Parking Assist ECU software.

Toyota Kirloskar, Maharashtra to set up 45 ITI automotive training labs

Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Maharashtra's Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) on Thursday signed an agreement to establish well-equipped laboratories in 45 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the state to strengthen automotive skills training. The agreement was signed by Toyota Kirloskar Motor senior vice-president Vikram Gulati and DVET director Madhavi Sardeshmukh at Mantralaya (state secretariat) in the presence of Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Speaking on the occasion, Lodha said the agreement would enhance training quality and create employment opportunities for students. "This partnership will offer world-class training and open global job prospects for our youth," he said. As part of the agreement, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will set up advanced laboratories for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) technician courses in 45 ITIs and train instructors appointed to these facilities. Maruti Suzuki sales up 3% in Mar, Toyota Kirloskar posts record FY25 sales

Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday reported a 3 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales at 1,92,984 units in March. The auto major sold a total of 1,87,196 units in the same month last year. Total domestic passenger vehicle dispatches to dealers were at 1,50,743 units compared to 1,52,718 units in the year-ago month, a dip of 1 per cent, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement. Sales of mini segment cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, declined marginally to 11,655 units against 11,829 units in March 2024. Sales of compact cars, including Baleno, Dzire, Ignis, and Swift also declined to 66,906 units from 69,844 units in the year-ago month. Utility vehicles, consisting of Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga and XL6, clocked sales of 61,097 units last month over 58,436 units earlier. Toyota Motor's vehicle sales increase 19% to 29,371 units in January

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Saturday said its sales increased by 19 per cent year-on-year to 29,371 units in January. The company had dispatched 24,609 units in the same month last year. The company sold 26,178 units in the domestic market and exported 3,193 units last month. Toyota Kirloskar Motor's December sales increase 29% to 29,529 units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday reported 29 per cent increase in sales at 29,529 units in December 2024 as compared to 22,867 units in the same month a year ago. The company sold 24,887 units in the domestic market and exported 4,642 units last month, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. The company said it recorded its best-ever calendar year sales in 2024 at 3,26,329 units. This was higher by 40 per cent as compared to 2,33,346 units sold in 2023. "The SUV and MPV segments being key contributors grew at 20 per cent over the same period last year. Toyota Kirloskar, Union Bank of India partner for vehicle loaning solutions

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Union Bank of India for providing vehicle financing solutions. Under the partnership, customers can get up to 90 per cent financing on the on-road price of any Toyota vehicle purchased for private use, exempting them from any foreclosure, or part-payment charges, the company said in a statement. Automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday said it will set up a new manufacturing plant in Maharashtra at an investment of around Rs 20,000 crore. The company has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to examine the setting up of a greenfield manufacturing facility at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. Toyota's April 2024 wholesales rise 32% to 20,949 units, exports at 1,794

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday said its wholesales increased 32 per cent year on year to 20,494 units in April. The automaker had dispatched 15,510 units to its dealers in April 2023. The growth momentum was sustained despite a week-long maintenance shutdown from April 6 for upkeep of machinery and equipment to sustain operational efficiencies, productivity and safety, the company said in a statement. Last month, the company said its domestic sales accounted for 18,700 units while exports totalled to 1,794 units.
