Best work moment
Client I had shot for asked his agency to get the services of the legendary Richard Avedon. They got in touch with the Master, who asked to see the previous work done by the brand. It was sent and Avedon replied that it was very good and couldn't see why they needed him. Cross my heart, true story. I can die in peace.

Books on your bedside
Right now - Chanakya's Chants, various books by Sadhguru of Isha Yoga. Shooting Straight by Piers Morgan is arriving shortly

Massage or workout to de-stress
Workout almost every day, massage every Sunday. I have a blind masseur and he has magic in his fingers.

Favorite accessory
My EvoTec from Carl F Bucherer. Pocket squares and tie bars, loud socks. And a healthy dose of my dark humour

Designs that have caught your eye recently
Primarily evil ones...

Your IT tools
The iPad and Stella my EA, aka the iKnowItAll

Favourite spirit
The 18-year-old Macallan single malt or any red grape served in the right spirit

Favourite wine
The Chocolate Block - a red wine blend from an unpronounceable winery near Cape Town

Favourite champagne
Not my poison of choice but Cristal and Laurent Perrier Rose

Your sleeping ritual
Watch ten minutes of TV or a half hour of reading if the begging for action doesn't work.

Favourite TV show
Right now catching up on Breaking Bad, best TV series, like ever.

Favourite cuisine
In Mumbai I'm very biased towards Rahul Akerkar's fare. Best commercial chef in India, period. My Mom makes the world's best teesrya, that's clams. Even Tendulkar loves them. Honest

Where do you like to sit when being driven? Upfront with driver of back seat like sahib?
Upfront, always. Even without a driver present, I sit in front and the wife sits back.

Fancy coffee or masala tea
Coffee Nazi I am, I might just have had India's first 'Nespresso' machine.

Your favourite city?
London, Cape Town, Melbourne

What's your fragrance?
I'm convinced that everyone has a bottle of 'Cool Water' somewhere. Other than that, Chanel 'Allure Sport' for day and Tom Ford's 'Black Orchid' for night.

You get your work clothes from
Jeans and tees that fit from all over. Suits from Gabbana, Arjun Khanna and Paul Jheeta of Savile Row. He's the first desi to have invaded the venerable bastion of the last place that was fully British

The shoemaker you trust your sole with
My shoes outnumber my wife's 3:1. In some countries I believe that is illegal. I'm partial to Tod's, Ferragamo and Puma. I just got presented a pair made of Anguila Fish leather (no kidding) by a brand called Ruosh. No they don't smell and they are incredibly comfy.

Your favourite evening wear
Skinny jeans and a jacket, nifty footwear with mad socks, pocket square

Your current set of wheels
Oh, only my Xylo comes with a standard complement of five women with endless legs.

God for you is…
Someone with one heck of a sense of humour

Favourite cafe
Indigo Deli

Your workout regime
Circuit and interval training. I'm an electron in the gym. I don't take too many breaks.

Your ideal holiday
At the Six Senses is pretty unbelievable.

At parties do you like to talk turkey or make PC?
I amuse myself people-watching

A few of your Goddesses are
Fully deserving of owning the 21 grams of my soul

Alpha males you know
Lately seem to be women

Your favourite motto
"The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who choose not to take sides in times of crisis." Believe Dante said this.
