After movies and series, Amazon Prime now allows you to access free books

Apart from books, users will also be able to access dozens of audiobooks on the platform

Amazon has launched its Prime Reading service in India. The service will allow users read several books and novels for free of cost on Amazon Kindle and Kindle app for Android and iOS devices.

Amazon users who already have a Prime account will be able to access the service free of cost. The service, according to Amazon, will allow you to choose from a wide range of options including recent and popular fiction and nonfiction titles, literary classics, children's books, comic books, magazines and Kindle Singles.

Apart from these, users will also be able to access dozens of audiobooks on the platform.

"Prime members can now read their favourite titles at no additional cost by conveniently downloading and reading ebooks within minutes. They can discover and read new and bestselling titles from a variety of authors at no additional cost. Ebooks under Prime Reading include all genres like Literature & Fiction, Travel, and Romance," said Rajiv Mehta, Country Manager, Kindle India, in a press statement.

Prime Reading has been a part of Amazon Prime in the US since October 2016.
